We set it up so that a “cycle” is 2 minutes. Thresholds are set dynamically based on the size of your server.

When Monit is installed, we configure it with some simple default monitors. It shouldn’t take too long to complete the installation, maybe a couple of minutes.
#Monit cpu usage install#
After filling in the data in the three sections, click the INSTALL MONIT button.The third section is optional – if you are subscribed to the M/Monit premium service you can connect your server to it by entering your private URL in the services dashboard.The second section requires you to set up a connection to your EMAIL server so that email alerts can be sent.It also requires you to provide a user ID and password to protect access to the Monit dashboard. Generally this is just a subdomain of a domain you already control. The first section requires you to provide a domain through which you will access the server dashboard.There are three sections that must be completed to activate Monit.Go to InfraWP -> All Cloud Servers and click on one of your servers.Note: Monit and Monitorx are two different services used for different things. If you have a subscription, you can connect your server to it.

MONIT also has a premium option called M/Monit that allows for a central dashboard that consolidates information from all of your servers and allows you to use your mobile devices to monitor your servers on the go. It is a lightweight service that can be configured to send you email alerts when certain thresholds are exceeded on your server. WPCloudDeploy gives you the option to install a proactive monitoring service called MONIT.
